Extra-curricular activities help to develop the whole student. We cannot just produce one-dimensional students in our schools. Students who are involved in extra-curricular pursuits tend to improve their academic grades as well. This may be due to increased self-esteem, motivation and better time management. They become better organized in the classroom. They demonstrate a reduction of at-risk behavior and a heightened sense of belonging, resulting in better behaviour.

It is based on integrating variety of information and using it to demonstrate the topic. Pedagogy of thematic learning is based on its exploration of broad areas in one theme.

The school library facilitates the work of the classroom teacher and ensures each student has equitable access to resources, irrespective of home opportunities or constraints. It also provide teachers with access to relevant curriculum information and professional development materials within and outside the school; and opportunities to cooperatively plan, implement and evaluate learning programs.
The quality of teaching and learning of mathematical sciences subjects can be improved by introducing more effective technique of delivery through the use of software in the computer labs. Practical teaching and learning process in the labs helps students in internalizing scientific method and understanding mathematical science concept introduced. Several approaches have been suggested to improve teaching and learning, which among others, by integrating the elements of software use in the course curriculum. Besides, lecturers could engage more hands-on assignments using software to students.
